
Linda M. Correia

Linda M. Correia is a member of Webster, Fredrickson, Correia & Puth where she focuses her practice in the field of employment discrimination, as well as bankruptcy and commercial litigation. Ms. Correia has successfully represented employees who were targets of sex discrimination, pregnancy discrimination, sexual harassment, and retaliation. She also represents clients with claims under the Family and Medical Leave Act and disability laws, as well as in severance negotiations.
Ms. Correia shared in the 2000 Lawyer of the Year Award presented by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice, in recognition of the firm's work in Hartman v. Powell, a class action sex discrimination case that resulted in the largest employment discrimination award in the history of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Additionally, Ms. Correia has represented plaintiffs and creditors forced to protect their interests in litigation with defendants seeking refuge in bankruptcy laws. After winning a jury verdict in favor of her client in a sexual harassment matter, for instance, Ms. Correia successfully argued in Merriex v. Beale, 253 B.R. 644 (Bankr. D.
